Our Philosophy

A MINI way of life

The (Exclusive) UW MINI Owners Club.

An idea was formed and the decision was taken in 2009 that we were able to put over 50 years of Motorsport and Event organisation to the greater good via Telecomplus/The Utility Warehouse organisation.

So, founded in 2010, when The Utility Warehouse had 200+ MINIs on the road, we recognised the potential of establishing a fully-fledged RAC/MSA government approved Motor Club to provide an opportunity of getting together in a social atmosphere with the sole object of ‘putting something back in!’

Now in 2020, with the full backing and support of our Patron and our Chief Steward/Vice President, we celebrate our 10th birthday with over 1,200 MINI’s on the road (accredited by BMW MINI AG as the largest MINI Fleet in the World), with a little (!) effort from a lot of people.
The decision to form The Club has been unreservedly proved right.

What the club is all about

To see what the club is all about, watch the video of our trip to the Le Mans Circuit in France. The 2010 Le Mans event was the first of many UW MINI Owners Club events and we raised £12,000 for the Elizabeth Ann Charity and her village in Pradesh.

Over £250,000

Since 2010 at our first event, in the last 10 years to 2020, we have now exceeded the magnificent sum of £250,000

Our Mission

Charity driven events

An Exclusive Motor Club solely reserved for the Independent Distributor members of the Utility Warehouse Discount Club nationwide, who have achieved the status of owning a Company branded MINI.

Our sole and prime objective is to run motoring and social events to raise funds for our annually nominated charity. All operating costs are either voluntarily provided by the Club Officers or borne by the Company.

All the proceeds of all the events we run are applied to the nominated charity – in FULL… 100%.

To date, we have achieved just over £125,000, fund matched by The Company making a grand total of £251,812.

A Personal Message

From our founder David Bell

It is an absolute pleasure and honour to serve as President of the UW MINI Owners Club since its foundation in 2009.

It is above all – your Club, for you and for your enjoyment – so therefore, this is your website. Please make the most of it, and provide any content, photographs, reports of events (and suggestions for the future) to us.

The success of all our efforts is reflected in the stupendous results of our charity funds raising.

Lastly we would like to sincerely thank Charles, Andrew, Justin, Wayne and Paul from NHQ for all their fantastic and ongoing support – it is very much appreciated.
