About the Event
A new Rally has been created for 2018 to replace this years Coast2Coast and will be a one day event as suggested by several competitors. We have also named the rally in honour of our late friend Jean Walsh (see news article).
On arrival in Kendal, parking is reserved for us in front of County Hall.
Walk over to New Union hotel for teas, coffee and breakfast sandwich at £5 per head and sign into the rally.
Route cards will then be issued at 09:45am and we then head back to the cars to move off at 10:00am sharp.
From the New Union hotel we will take a circular route round some of the Lake District’s most picturesque areas, pausing for a half way halt at Dalgarth Railway Station Cafe.
Following the restart, we will make our way down the east borders of the Lake District to finish back at New Union Hotel in Kendal for a Sunday roast dinner approx 16:30.
The Clerk of the Course Wayne Rawlinson and the Assistant CofC Angela Rawlinson have designed a fantastic route, some of which will put the drivers to the test! We can assure you, you will not be disappointed.
ALL In aid of the UW Nominated Charity ‘MIND’.
We will be limited to 25 cars on this Rally, so its first come first served. Max number of 25 MINIS & 55 people so book early.
We will need to know the number of people in the car, to enable us to book the Sunday roast dinner at a vert reasonable price.
The Entry Fee is £00; yes, free! We are committing all proceeds (as we have since being founded – over a £100,000 to date!) to our Charity – ‘MIND’ so we would like each car to raise a minimum of £100 per Car/Distributorship in sponsorship (prior to start date).
Note – All fuel, accommodation and food, drinks etc. are at your own expense.
